“Housing Built in Alabama for Alabama Citizens,” is what Sherry Norris, Executive Director of the Alabama Manufactured Housing Association says about an exciting project taking place right now.  She sent word to MHMSM that two blocks of dilapidated housing were cleared in Montgomery, Alabama, to make way for a series of three-story modular apartment complexes, the Heritage View Apartments, not far from the governor’s mansion.  Built by Southern Energy Homes in Addison, AL, eight modules were installed May 26, and eight more will go up in the week after Memorial Day.  Ms. Norris said: “This project shows what can be done in a city and how quickly quality housing can be provided.  A great story for towns across Alabama that need apartments replaced.  Also, single-family residential modular homes are built to the same building code as site-built and the family can be in the new home in about 2 months.”  The site, foundations, stairs, porches, and clubhouse are by Empire Construction; Clayton Building Solutions Division is the project manager.  Full story will be coming…
