The Virginian-Pilot reports that the Virginia Beach City Council has approved a resolution asking owners of factory-built home communities to give more help to tenants who may have to relocate. Long-term redevelopment plans would eliminate five of the city’s ten older factory-built home communities, containing some 900 homes. The measure asks the owners to give tenants as much notice as possible before they would need to move and to offer financial help such as stipends or several months of free rent before a move.
