CU Factory Built Lending Western Region Sales and Marketing team has a new member, Rachel Young. She assumed the role of Marketing and Sales Support Manager Oct. 30. Anthony Silcox, who previously held the role, is now the Business Development Executive for the Southern Territory of the region. Rachel has recently completed her on boarding and initial training and has already begun to contribute to the team.
Rachel comes to CUFBL from Cascade Regional Blood Services, a nonprofit that serves hospitals in the Puget Sound area, where she worked at the marketing and communications supervisor. She has a decade of marketing and communication experience, mostly in nonprofit and government organizations. She also has experience as a licensed real estate agent in her hometown of Portland, Ore. She holds an MBA and a BA in Communication from Pacific Lutheran University. In addition, she was honored by being named one of the Business Examiner’s 2015 Forty Under 40.
In her free time Rachel is actively engaged in her community of Tacoma and feels very strongly about giving back. She participates in the South Sound 100 Women and PLU’s MediaLab. She loves exploring the beautiful Puget Sound region and traveling all over. From jumping out of planes in Shelton to surfing off the coast of Peru, she is always up for an adventure.
Rachel is passionate about marketing and is looking forward to putting her skills to work for CUFBL. Some of her team’s objectives for 2016 will be supporting our business partners and the business development executives with increased, value-added communications, a review of our marketing materials and tools for relevancy in the new Dodd-Frank climate, and continuing our mission of providing education as it relates to lending, our programs and products, and the manufactured housing industry, to our members and our valued business partners. The West Region is very excited to have her as part of our award winning CUFBL team.
