If city officials in Fostoria, Ohio have their way, the residents of the 525 home sites in the four local MHCs will soon have safe haven in the event of threatening weather. Residents of this town south of Toledo began calling the city with concerns about their safety during tornado season. City leaders have been contacting nearby businesses who are open 24 hours to see if they will shelter people who live in MHCs. WTOL-TV tells MHProNews.com the city’s municipal building will also provide refuge. Owners of the communities are being contacted to determine if they will build shelters, although there is no legal requirement for them to comply.
