A recent survey indicates that people are turning from frustration and fear more toward anger. Given the angst over the present and near future, is it any wonder?
Politicos of whatever stripe get that reality. So, the upcoming election is in part going to be decided by who blames whom for what happened to our country since the COVID19 outbreak and the fallout from that event began.
1976 Movie “Network,” initial “I’m Mad as Hell”
“and I’m not going to take this anymore” scene.
Fictional alternative news media anchor
Howard Beale goes off on the madness and viewers
respond in numbers coast-to-coast.
This is eerily applicable to our own times.
The featured image at the top comes from this movie clip.
“You have meddled with the primary forces of nature, Mr. Beale,
and I won’t have it! Is that clear? You think you merely stopped
a business deal. That is not the case…”
– Ned Beatty as Arthur Jensen in classic movie, Network.
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (CA-D) is making her position plain. It’s the “Trump Virus.” Those who believe that will in some numbers when voting will pull the lever for Democrats.
Never mind that fellow Democrat and 2016 party nominee Secretary Hillary Clinton is among those who has somberly intoned the once respected words of wisdom that when it comes to politics, partisanship stops at the waters edge. Clinton’s meaning is that Americans stand united despite party lines in the face of a foreign threat or challenge.
With much of the mainstream media on the left side, millions may indeed blame President Trump for the mask up and fear of COVID19 malaise that has shuttered thousands of businesses that will never reopen. The “Crimson Contagion” has cost the economy millions of jobs in record time. Keep in mind that 21st Mortgage president, CEO and prior Manufactured Housing Institute (MHI) chair Tim Williams warned members against the progressive agenda.
But what Williams never explained is how he could be against the agenda that Warren Buffett, Charlie Munger and Munger’s law firm have backed for years – namely, the progressive agenda.
What the Capital Research Center has aptly described as “Deception and Misdirection” are evidently at play. Here we’ve noted that the old tactic of paltering and the Big Lie are being employed inside and beyond our industry.
With Bill Gates, Warren Buffett, Jeff Bezos, Mark Zuckerberg, Michael Bloomberg, George Soros, and others in the uber Billionaires Club supporting Speaker Pelosi and her teammates, the possibilities of influencing the masses vis ads, media, entertainment, social media, news and such grows.
With several of those same ultra-billionaire’s club members exerting influence inside our Federal, state, or local government – plus their media and cultural might, the odds are candidly in their favor on November 3, 2020.
The fence sitters, persuadables, and independent thinkers might wonder. Why are all these wealthy people and their corporate and nonprofit interests poised against President Trump? Is it just politics?
Or do those on the political left and Establishment Republicans like George Will, Bill Kristol, and other Bush-supporting members of that party have said they too will support former President Barack Obama VP Joe Biden. Could it be that the Money and Political Establishment are that upset that their club is being threatened?
What anti-Trump Republicans remind us about is that this IS NOT merely a Democrat vs. Republican election, although it will appear to be so and in some sense it is. Rather, this is the Money Powers in both parties pulling out all the stops from the one populist candidate who has challenged the status quo of the rigged system in decades.
The argument can be made that better messaging could be coming from the White House and Trump Campaign. The recent shakeup in the campaign suggests as much.
In 100 days, either the most socialist agenda since the days of FDR – or perhaps ever – in American history will either emerge on top. Or the ballot box will be challenged by the only political force that has seriously declared against the money powers that have blithely pulled the strings to a significant degree in this nation for years, going back to the time the movie Network was produced and before.
Perfect candidates are never on the ballot. Minor party candidates, right or wrong, have no chance in the current or decades of Democratic and Republican political dominating environment, save as a way of siphoning off votes from the two main contenders.
A binary choice looms. Facts are what they are.
One side has demonstrated that investments, factories, and better paying jobs can be returned to the U.S. despite 2016 claims to the contrary. The economy can be regrown. It was regrown in just 3 years. All that was prior to the Wuhan Virus arriving from China. Multi-decade record lows unemployment was proven, not merely promised. Incomes were rising for the middle and working class not by artificially higher minimum wages that can be difficult for some smaller businesses to navigate, but rather through competition among businesses for talent from workers in a scenario where the rising tide is raising all the boats.
By contrast, the other side promised fundamental changes in 2008, but in fact the rich got richer and the poor got poorer. The killing went on in Chicago, Baltimore and elsewhere during the Obama Administration era. The irony is that those protesting in Democratically run cities with racially integrated police departments are being told to blame a president who wasn’t even in politics when this hapless pattern emerged over a period of decades.
Democrats have the edge. They have the money and media might. But they lost by a wide margin in 1968 in the electoral college due to the ‘silent majority’ that Networks’ Mad as Hell scene reminds us of in the movie clips above. In 1968, during the Hong Kong Flu and with riots in Chicago with pro-communist, socialists, and Marxists in the streets then as we have now. There were more violent bombings in the late 1960s than now. Look it up. There are differences, but there are similarities too.
What does all that mean? It means it ain’t over until it is over.
The money powers, the Establishment, the uber-billionaires club, the top fraction of the top 1 percent, call them what you will. It isn’t earning money honestly that is evil. It is earning money dishonestly by rigging the system that is the problem.
That rigged system has harmed independents – and thus workers and consumers – in our industry and all others.

Our industry and profession should be soaring, but it is not. Day by day, we lay out the facts in reports inside and outside of our industry that paint the evidence-based picture as to why our industry is stuck in low gear.
The powers that be have arguably demonstrated that there are ample “deep state,” money, and media influence to turn what could have been a contained viral outbreak in Wuhan, China into an economic upheaval in the U.S. and well over 150 nations around the world.
Meaning, this isn’t just an American issue. India, for example, has reportedly retarget some of their nuclear weapons toward Beijing. The recent lethal skirmish along the Chinese-Indian border, plus the pandemic, is enough to have India moving closer into the orbit that Trump Administration Secretary of State Mike Pompeo is steadily organizing.
Warren Buffett may not have meant it quite the way this is applied, or perhaps the cagey fellow meant it exactly as this is being applied. It is this. You can’t make a good deal with a bad person.
Buffett
That applies in foreign and domestic affairs.
Buffett and his allies have made it plain years ago that there is a war on. They declared it. Ignoring that reality makes no sense.
Wars are either won or lost. You or I may or may not live to see the end of this war. But our children and grandchildren will.
For the powers that be the rigged system is meddling in a business deal. That “business deal” just happens to include the slow motion moat-building as the oligarchs divide up this nation and others among themselves.

As noted above, it is often those on the left who are calling out others on the left for manipulation of the news. They are certainly not pro-Trump voices. They point the finger in all directions.
But the irony is that those voices are saying very similar things to what voices on the right have been saying for some time. Will these various camps start listening to each other and get beyond sticking points to look at the root issues of the day?
