Deception and misdirection. Keep those three words in mind.
Spoiler alert. If you haven’t seen the movie yet, after reading the bold quotation, skip to the next paragraph. “The greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing the world he didn’t exist.” – fictional super criminal Keyser Söze, a.k.a. Roger “Verbal” Kint, played by actor Kevin Spacey, in the classic movie drama, The Usual Suspects.
The full quotation from a part of the movie is this: “The greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing the world he didn’t exist. And like that – poof – he’s gone!” First, this evil – nearly diabolical movie character was taking out his wrath on his opponents, then he vanished and created doubt that he ever existed. That snippet from the classic fictional drama, The Usual Suspects, can be streamed online.
But the movie isn’t as important as the principle involved.
Deception and misdirection. The ‘devil’s trick’ of convincing enough people that this or that evil doesn’t exist. Evil masquerading as something that it isn’t.
From early after the dawn of human history, some have been willing to lie and deceive others in order to gain an advantage over groups of people. The best of those liars, deceivers, and con artists don’t appear to be liars at all.
The greatest trick of the devil is to appear as if he didn’t exist. No devil, no God. No God, no ultimate morality. No firm rules for people and society, and then everything goes. Eroding away at traditional morals has been occurring for centuries, it didn’t just happen in the late 20th or early 21st century.
Once professionals, investors, ethically-minded public officials and others recognize that pattern of deceit, deception, and misdirection – which has arguably plagued our profession for well over a decade – then the rest become easier to understand with greater clarity.
The Party Is Over, What’s Next?
In early January 2020, the headlines were not about COVID19, much less where they about the tens of millions unemployed in the wake of economic shutdowns caused by the Wuhan, China originated coronavirus.
Unemployment pre-pandemic was at half-century or longer record lows for every segment of the population. Incomes for working class Americans were rising. Those on government assistance were falling. The demand for labor was so high that programs and legislation for ex-convicts were being put into place to integrate them back into society and the workforce. There was more parties, more joy, and hopes for a brighter future. The American Dream was coming back to life.
That’s now all gone. That party is over.
To understand what’s next, one must grasp what happened. Because there are people that need to be held to account or else what’s next is going to be more of the same or worse.
Be someone a Democrat or not, agree with his politics or not, Democratic Majority Whip James Clyburn was one hundred percent correct in this statement about the importance of understanding history.
Jumping back in time to late 2019, the ‘debate’ then was about a phone call between then-Ukrainian President-elect Volodimyr Zelenskiy and President Donald J. Trump. Did the call and its aftermath cross some imaginary legitimate line? Was the phone call and the events around it impeachable?
That ‘phone call’ controversy is all like a distant memory now. For those who think about it at all, that almost seems surreal, doesn’t it?
“The first hearings against a president in 21 years took place on September 17, 2019, and featured the testimony of former Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski,” says Wikipedia. On December 10, 2019, House Democrats announced they would take up two specific charges for impeachment related to those phone calls. They were “abuse of power and obstruction of Congress,” said left-of-center CNBC.
Democrats said they were right, Republicans said they were wrong, that it was all a Democratic political ploy.
While that partisan theater was occurring in Washington D.C. and playing out on TVs and devices across the country, an overlooked hearing occurred on December 4, 2019, as MHProNews and MHLivingNews has noted several times. That House hearing with lawmakers from both major parties present was about the U.S. preparation for a possible pandemic outbreak.
There were also pandemic response exercises in October of 2019 between the Gates Foundation and American public health officials. See the report linked above for that and for details on the federal-state and local Crimson Contagion pandemic response drills.
The short version of the above is this. While American media was focused on an impeachment that went nowhere, during that very time the virus was already spreading in China.
Researchers from Harvard have now identified signs that as early as August 2019, there was a serious uptick in hospitalizations in Wuhan, China for something that certainly sounds like it was what was later called COVID19.
“The researchers collected 111 satellite images of Wuhan from January 9 2018 to April 30 2020. They found that, between 2018 and 2020, there was a general increasing trend of hospital occupancy as measured by the parking lot volume.
A steep increase in numbers began in August 2019, which resulted in a peak in December 2019. Between September and October 2019, five of the six hospitals demonstrate their highest relative daily volume from the analyzed data series. Interestingly, this coincided with increased internet search queries for terms such as “diarrhea” and “cough“.” So said Technology Now about the Harvard Research
Here is a screen capture of some of that research.
The U.S. under both Democratic and Republican administrations spent billions of dollars annually on a combination of pandemic response preparation as well as on intelligence or ‘spy’ services. This video of Dr. Robert Kadlec entitled “National Biodefense Strategy” was posted on September 18, 2018. On this date it only has 1499 views. Too few knew or cared.
While millions of Americans literally partied at the best life they had known in years, or ever, the looming threat to their livelihoods, health, or life itself was quietly spreading in China. Left-of-center ABC News reported that as early as late November, U.S. intelligence reported the clues of the pandemic in Wuhan, China. Why was President Trump not notified until sometime in mid-January 2020, depending on which account someone is to believe? By then, using the logic of the University of Southampton researchers, it was too late.
The video above sounds almost bizarre given they are talking about preparedness and risks for precisely what was developing in Wuhan, China as that hearing was occurring. Note that the estimated 3+ trillion that Dr. Kadlec said that a pandemic outbreak in the U.S. could cost our country now looks too small in hindsight. These historic tidbits speak volumes when properly understood. Years, decades of preparation were made to AVOID what in fact OCCURED with the COVID19 outbreak. Sizable bureaucracies in our governments and others all somehow missed the same thing? Australia and about 120 countries are demanding investigations. They too cast doubt about the WHO, not unlike President Trump.
Did ‘sealing’ off travel from China in late January help? Sure, Dr. Anthony Fauci among others has said so. But had that same order to seal off the U.S. from China occurred in late November 2019, our economy and over 150,000 dead Americans might still be alive and thriving.
Who is to blame?
In fairness, no president can act on information he doesn’t have. Billions were spent annually to prepare for something that happened and was mishandled by the bureaucrats that were paid to deal with specific pandemic threat detect. That is what the video from Dr. Kadlec reminds us about. Trillions of dollars in added debt – and soon to grow – later, America at large as well as our industry are still picking up the pieces.
By the way, not only was Dr. Kadlec at the December 4, 2019 House hearing giving testimony, but so too was Dr. Anthony Fauci. Both are visible at the start of this video from December 4, 2019. There are plenty of people in or out of government for ‘the blame’ to go around. There is evidence of misdirection and CYA going around.
But in fairness, this isn’t just a failure in the U.S. This is what WHO was paid billions of dollars over the years to do too. Other nations have spy services and pandemic response teams. It will take time to unravel how many knew what when and why they sat on it.
But now, an election looms a mere 91 days from now. In partisan fashion, Democrats are trying to blame most everything that has gone wrong on President Trump. In the light of the facts, that simply is not fair or just.
But this is more than just about the election. At the core of this is the issue of right and wrong, good vs. evil. In a society that was increasingly overlooking right or wrong on a range of issues, is it a surprise that a relative few could rationalize their behaviors that allowed America and our industry to arrive at this tragic and largely avoidable moment?
The virus should have been stopped in China. That is why the anti-Communist publication the Epoch Times – which was launched by Chinese practitioners of Falun Gong – calls Covid-19 the CCP Virus. That’s not xenophobia or racism. That’s Chinese Americans saying that Chinese Communist Party (CCP) officials could have stopped this from happening, but did not.
That rings oddly familiar with what President Trump has said several times. Yes, an argument can be made that the Chinese sandbagged President Trump. Chinese communists blind-sided him. But if so, that happened due in part to the failures of the WHO, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, the CDC, ASPR, and a range of intelligence services that were all supposed to prevent this sort of tragedy from occurring.
The party is over, what’s next?
That answer to what is next is up to people of both good will and ill will. The better question is, will people of good will wake up in enough numbers to see how this pandemic has made a few wildly richer? Among those, arguably are the Usual Suspects. Bill Gates, Warren Buffett, Jeff Bezos, Mark Zuckerberg, Michael Bloomberg, George Soros, et al.
It isn’t just America that is dealing with this. Agree or not with the President’s style of messaging, but the facts are what they are.
Big flare ups in Europe. Fake News USA doesn’t like talking about this! https://t.co/7TR2hosXqZ
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) August 2, 2020
While his message should be clarified, it seems that President Trump is positioning for a greater focus on wealth inequality being made worse by COVID19. Does he endorse all that was said, or just the notion that the uber rich have positioned themselves to profit wildly while millions of Americans are struggling?
Very disappointed in @SenSchumer for blocking the temporary extension of the $600 unemployment benefits. The Do Nothing Democrats are more interested in playing politics than in helping our deserving people. DRAIN THE SWAMP ON NOVEMBER 3RD!

Those billionaires have – MHProNews has argued for years – “rigged the system” for their own benefit. They buy the politicians, often but not only on the left.

Americans that had nothing to do with what went wrong in the handling of the viral outbreak are being held hostage. The attempt to rig the 2020 election via vote by mail is a fair issue to examine and reject based on even left-of-center media evidence, such as what President Trump retweeted.

The party is over. What comes next is up to people like us and you.
Evil exists. The faith of billions differ in several ways, but they hold some interesting points of commonality. There are warnings from the scriptures and wise men past and present about avoiding being deceived.
As you read the reports from the linked headlines for the week in review, keep in mind that much could be boiled down to the notions of deception and misdirection. Those deceptions are routinely intended to take away someone’s rights, property, health, safety, or even life itself.

Postscript (PS)
Over the years MHProNews and our MHLivingNews sister site have quoted great figures who may or may not have been involved in politics in their day. But they are remembered because they said something wise, true, or inspiring.
When those figures are Americans, they include Democrats, Republicans and those who had no affiliation with either major party.
Millions now believe in ‘fake news.’ Some news is partisan agenda-driven, no question. But that doesn’t mean that all news is fake news.
We pull from sources across the left-right divide and have years before independent journalist Sharyl Attkisson made that job easier by creating this marvelous infographic that identifies that media bias.
There is not a day that goes by that we as trade media don’t source insights from across the left-right divide. It was, for example, the New York Times that reported on Crimson Contagion. That said, they spun the meaning of the incident into something that the facts don’t logically support.
This election will define what America becomes. Former Obama-Administration Vice President Joe Biden has said that his agenda will be the most “progressive” ever. Self-described socialist Senator Bernie Sanders (VT-I, Democratic Socialist) has given his blessings on a plan for a Biden Administration that he has also said would be the most progressive in the country in modern times.
Here “progressive” may as well mean “socialist.”
Socialism has always been about deception and misdirection. We are anti-Communist, anti-Nazi (National Socialists), anti-Marxists, and anti-totalitarians of all stripes, who are often Socialists.
The billionaire class that Warren Buffett has said has waged a successful war against Americans are among those who
Socialism is about power, said President Trump. Like his style or not, President Trump gets it on this. We are unabashedly pro-Trump. But why? Is it because he is perfect? Is he some messiah? Hardly. He’s a man with his own weaknesses, much like others.
Treavor Loudon identified dozens of lawmakers who have clear ties to socialists in government. He did so prior to President Trump being elected to public office
There are years of research by keen minds that have come to similar conclusions as this publication has. We are for the American Dream. We believe in free enterprise. But we disavow the rigging of the system.
It is Warren Buffett’s buddy Bill Gates who said that Buffett has learned how to spot weaknesses in the market and take advantage of it.
Gates obviously got over that reluctance to meet with Buffett. They are fast friends and strategic allies in the Gates Foundation. Gates sat on Buffett-led Berkshire Hathaway’s board for most of the Berkshire Hathaway era in affordable manufactured housing.
It takes time to lay out the evidence, the money trail, and the reasoning behind how the system has been rigged. That is the advantage, so to speak, of the liars, deceivers, and con men of our times.
That is why getting back to basics is so valuable. It isn’t this writer or publication that says lying and other things are evil, it is God who Created the heavens and the earth who said these things.
Frankly, because no candidate is perfect, it would be easy to reject every candidate. But no voter is perfect either.
Style aside, President’s Trump America First agenda has been largely sound. Yes, he got blind-sided, but so did others in nations around the world.
The unrest in our streets has to be paid for and the evidence of the money trail arguable makes clear that it is the billionaire class, the Usual Suspects, that has paid for self-described Marxists and Socialists to undermine local businesses that are often minority owned.
These people don’t love minorities, the case can be demonstrably made that they take advantage of minorities.
We said in the run-up to the 2016 election that then candidate Trump could win. We are saying that despite the rigged system, he can win again.
It will, however, be up to swing voters. Articles like this should be shared with others. Help others who have been blinded by the Big Lie often repeated to see how they have been manipulated in good measure by social media and mainstream ‘news’ media that is often agenda driven, pro-Democratic Socialists, and pro-billionaires even if they sometimes mask those connections.
Warren Buffett said it. The billionaires – his class – have waged war.
Warren Buffett Declared “Class Warfare,” Buffett Says Fellow Billionaires – “We’re Winning”
Buffett says they are winning. The only way to beat them is win the next election. That means voting against those that they are supporting. That means progressive or “socialistic” candidates like Joe Biden.
