Following a story we last published Sept. 19,2001 concerning the five year battle over a proposed development of two MHCs in Oxford, Connecticut, Garden Homes Management has resubmitted plans for the property, this time proposing 126 manufactured homes, reports the oxford-ctpatch. Opposition has come from the neighborhood and the Oxford Conservation Commission which oversees wetlands it says the development would disturb, a decision upheld by a Superior Court ruling. Garden Homes now says certain activities on tap at the development do not fall under the jurisdiction of the Inland Wetlands Agency. MHProNews.com has learned the newest plan will be considered at the July 23 meeting of the Oxford Conservation Commission/Inland Wetlands Agency meeting.
