MarketWatch reports Troy, Michigan-based Champion Home Builders, Inc. announces the acquisition of Athens Park Homes of Athens, Texas, a manufacturer of HUD Code and Park Model homes. Jack Lawless, Champion Homes CEO, says, “The acquisition of this respected company provides us with much needed additional capacity in Texas, where we are experiencing some of our fastest growth.” With the addition of Athens, Champion now has 29 facilities in the US., Canada, and the United Kingdom. MHProNews has learned Champion builds HUD Code and modular homes in addition to commercial and governmental modular buildings. The purchase price was not disclosed.
