SheridanSun reports from Sheridan, Oregon near the northwest Pacific coast, the owners of the former manufacturing plant of Liberty Homes, Inc. have borrowed $1.25 million from a New Jersey-based lender. The money will allow Liberty, which closed the plant in Feb. 2011, to sell part of the property by satisfying non-local liens against the company. The 34.2 acre property, which consists of three one-story buildings including 4,000 square feet of office space, can be subdivided into five parcels including one that has been approved for residential development. Kennedy Funding says a 24,000 square foot building on 8.1 acres is under contract for $680,000. MHProNews has learned the lender is an affiliate of Liberty, which is headquartered in Goshen, Indiana.
