HUD, Team Trump, Joe Biden and Kamala Harris All Make Announcements; Election Reflections with Blame Game Are Well Underway; ‘Least Bad Option,’ ‘Sacred Goat’ Plus More FEA Ahead

Politicos, media pundits, and untold thousands of others are weighing in on what went wrong for Democrats in the 2024 election and what went right for “Team Trump” and “MAGA Republicans.” An example for that is useful. “So, as Democrats blame the shellacking on Biden himself, on all the racists and misogynists, the brainwashed Hispanics and brainwashed black men, on the white women who hate themselves and forfeited their rights when they voted for Trump, do not forget Jim Clyburn. Clyburn, who’s a bit of a sacred goat within the party, will likely escape criticism. I doubt Democrats are even aware he urged Biden to pick someone like Kamala in the first place. Even if they were, it wouldn’t matter. The left’s response to the loss so far reveals they lack the necessary self-awareness to admit that Kamala was a terrible candidate then, in 2020, and a terrible candidate now,” concludes the Daily Caller’s report that outlined the role that Congressman James Clyburn (SC-D) played in getting Kamala Harris on Joe Biden’s ticket in 2020 and in getting her to be their party’s ‘nominee’ for 2024. Note that in the sense used by the Daily Caller, “sacred goat” is not a slur but rather carries the meaning of “strength and resilience” and could imply “Greatest of All Time” (GOAT).

The headline mentions HUD’s announcement, which is provided in Part I. The ‘least bad option’ part of the headline is a reference to that topic. More on that in Part II.

Teresa Payne Appointed as
Deputy Assistant Secretary for the Office of Manufactured Housing Programs

WASHINGTON – The Department of Housing and Urban Development’s Office of Housing is pleased to announce the appointment of Teresa B. Payne as the new Deputy Assistant Secretary (DAS) for the Office of Manufactured Housing Programs. In this role, Teresa will oversee the development and implementation of policies and programs related to the regulation and support of the manufactured housing industry, and will work closely with stakeholders to ensure access to safe, affordable, and quality manufactured homes for communities across the country.

 

Teresa, a longtime advocate for consumer protections and manufactured housing industry veteran, joined HUD 28 years ago as a Legal Honors Intern in the Office of General Counsel (OGC). She has held many positions of increasing responsibility during her tenure—serving as OGC’s staff attorney, the Director of Housing’s Office of Business Development, and the Associate DAS for the Office of Regulatory Affairs and Manufactured Housing. Most importantly, she has been OMHP’s Administrator since 2018 and has led the office through the release of two major HUD Code updates and its transition to becoming an independent office within Housing.

1) An informed source told MHProNews that Teresa Payne is “probably the least-bad of all the bad alternatives under this [Biden-Harris] administration.”

2) There is speculation that Joe Biden has asked President-elect Donald J. Trump to pardon Hunter Biden possibly as part of a deal that will end the lawfare against the once and future president. MHProNews plans to monitor, as sentencing for Hunter Biden looms, and the White House Press Secretary, Karine Jean-Pierre, insisted again that Biden won’t pardon his son. Trump’s sentencing on charges brought in New York is also pending.

4) Why did the voting results occur faster than some on the left-leaning media led the American people to expect? There are reports that the RNC’s election integrity efforts dealt with hundreds of issues before and on election day. That may have helped speed up the final outcome. Possibly more on that as it develops.

 

 

5) About Kamala Harris (D) and her concession.

 

 

 

 

6) There is speculation that HUD Secretary Ben Carson may be back at HUD in 2025. Time will tell about that position, as well as others at FHFA, CFPB, DOE, DOJ, and other federal agencies.

 

7) 45th President and President-elect Trump has selected Susie Wiles, his 2024 campaign manager, to be White House Chief of Staff.

 

8) There is already possible evidence of Trump’s serious “promises made, promises kept” pledge. While peace, for example, may not break out in a day, there is evidence that peace deals could potentially be in place before Trump is again sworn into office.

9) There is also talk about big celebrations of the 250th anniversary of the United States.

 

 

10) There is also plenty of talk, as was noted in the preface above, of who did what wrong and what the Trump-MAGA movement have done right. Also, why Democrats have lost.

 

 

 

 

 

Despite the talk of a peaceful transfer of power, messages like this next one may portend an effort to stir up fear and wrongfully pin it on Trump and Republicans. Anyone who gets such a message, per authorities, are asked to contact their local FBI office.

 

 

 

 

While it may be too much to say that no Democrat will ever win a national election again, the X-post below indicates a serious concern among some Democrats and certainly among MAGA movement supporters.

 

 

11) Despite the bluster, the economy was slowing. Crime was rising. The border was linked to crime and was a serious issue for millions.  Housing was becoming even more unaffordable. MHProNews reported on all of those issues in the run-up to the election. Other than MHProNews/MHLivingNews, no other MHVille trade media provided the pre-election coverage that our platforms did.
