As part of a special relationship with Wayne County’s Habitat for Humanity, students in Johnson College’s Carpentry and Cabinetmaking Technology Program in Scranton, Penn. will once again construct a modular home that will then be donated to a needy family identified by Habitat. As the pikecountycourier tells MHProNews, the annual project has been ongoing since 1978. Says Joseph Musheno, chairperson of the college’s program, “I am very proud of the college’s partnership with the Wayne County Habitat for Humanity. Not only are students still learning their trade hands-on, but they are also becoming productive members of society by working on a project and using their expertise to give back to the community.”
