According to statistics gathered on behalf of the U. S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), manufactured housing production rose in July, 2013 to 4,793 HUD Code homes, an increase of 13.5 percent over the 4,221 homes produced in July, 2012. The Manufactured Housing Association for Regulatory Reform (MHARR) reports industry production through July, 2013 equals 33,926 homes, an increase of 6.2 percent over the 31,936 manufactured homes produced for the same period in 2012. As MHProNews has learned, Texas continues to be the largest shipment state.
