Refugees Living in Manufactured Homes

Some 700 refugees displaced by the flooding in Calgary, Alberta, Canada in June of this year will be housed in manufactured home communities (MHCs) in the Great Plains neighborhood of Calgary, and may have to remain there through the winter. A longer- term neighborhood of manufactured homes will be sited closer to High River, just south of Calgary, which was the hardest hit town, according to sunnewsnetwork.ca. As MHProNews has learned, 1,300 displaced people currently live in MHCs in Siksika and Saddlebrook near High River.
