Modular home builder Homes by Vanderbuilt of North Carolina is donating $1 to the Marine Corps’ Toys for Tots program for every “Follow” it receives on its Google+page from now until Dec. 20. Tom Van de Reit of the Sanford, NC-based company says the Google+ platform is an important social media tool that reaches a wide audience. As SBWire.com informs MHProNews, the guiding tenant for the program is “Every child in North Carolina should have something under the tree this year and a smile on their face Christmas morning. No exceptions.” Homes by Vanderbuilt hopes to reach its $1,000 goal by the Dec. 20 deadline in this, their second year of promoting the program. Their office in Sanford will also accept donations of new toys.
