Modular Classrooms Replace Earthquake Struck School

Following the devastating 7.2 earthquake that struck the Philippines south of Sagbayan in mid-October, 2013, Solid Group Technologies Corp. (My|House) has offered four modular classrooms as a replacement for Katipunan Elementary School, which was destroyed, and its neighboring daycare center. The quake killed 67 and laid waste to multiple houses, churches, and office buildings. As business.inquirer.net informs MHProNews, the new classrooms would feature insulated sandwich panels capable of withstanding 125 to 145 mile per hour winds as well as a 7 point earthquake. Currently, classes are being held in crowded, noisy tents where students are exposed to the elements and are becoming ill.
