The Poplar Grove Planning and Zoning Commission in Illinois, just east of Rockford, has unanimously voted down a proposal for developer Flora Meadows to build a 284-site manufactured home community in the village on two parcels of land. After hearing the concerns of nearby homeowners, according to what WIFR.com tells MHProNews.com, the commission denied a special use permit for the southern tract, which would have seen 240 homes sited. The commission still has to vote on the northern portion, which is designed for 44 manufactured homes.
