Renting out at 80 percent of market value as part of the government’s affordable housing program, architectural firm Rogers Stirk Harbour and Partners has received approval to build 36 two-bedroom modular apartments in Stratford, England. Consisting of two modules each, the units will be assembled around a core containing two elevators and a stairway. The method of construction allows for internal and external wall panels to be easily replaced should they become damaged; and the project can be completed within six months. Rogers Stirk is a world-renown firm whose recent notable projects include Heathrow Airport’s Terminal Five and the British Museum, according to 24dash.com. The company has also agreed to provide 14 three-bedroom modular apartments to a nearby property by March 2017, as MHProNews.com has learned. ##
