The three major indexes all took a tumble today, the Dow Jones Industrial Average falling well over 100 points. CNNMoney tells MHProNews the Dow dropped -129.53 points, -0.78 percent, to finish the day at 16,401.02, while the Nasdaq fell -57.3 points, -1.38 percent, to end the day at 4,080.76. The S&P edged down -16.94 points, -0.90%, to close at 1,867.72
The Yahoo! Finance Manufactured Housing Composite fell -1.19 percent, to finish at 719. Tracked housing stocks closed mixed or even in today’s trading, although Skyline Corp. advanced +3.14 percent, +0.16 points, to close at 5.25. Cavco Industries fell the most of tracked stocks, -3.69 percent, -2.94 points, to close at 76.79. Affiliated Managers Group 192.64 -3.06 (-1.56%). Clayton Homes, Vanderbilt Mortgage and Finance, as well as MH home-building, lending and other housing suppliers parent company Berkshire Hathaway 187,375 -2,415.00 (-1.27%). Deer Valley Homebuilders remained at 0.70. Drew Industries, Inc. 49.76 -1.03 (-2.03%). Equity LifeStyle Properties 42.61 -0.12 (-0.28%). Liberty Homes remained unchanged at 0.80. Louisiana Pacific Industries 16.25 -0.23 (-1.39%). Nobility Homes remained steady at 11.10. Patrick Industries 40.00 -1.35 (-3.26%). Sun Communities, Inc. 47.05 -0.16 (-0.34%).
