South Carolina Eases Fees on Manufactured Home Workers

State boards at the South Carolina Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation (LLR) have combined the cost and review of licenses issued by the Manufactured Housing Board for those who work on manufactured homes. In a report from Associated Press, theitem.com says the new regulation will allow people who sell, do repairs and install MH to purchase all three for $180 instead of $100 each, saving time and money. Additionally, MHProNews has learned one of Gov. Nikki Haley’s suggested changes to state law passed the legislature: The Labor, Licensing & Regulation department passes the approval of a planned modular home on to an approved inspection agency. ##
