According to brookline.wickedlocal.com, the modular classrooms at the Lawrence School should be completed by May or June of next year, in time for the 2015 school year, and will cost $3.11 million, as MHProNews has learned. The original idea was to bring in the modular units and add design elements such as a hip roof and brick cladding that would make the classrooms look more like existing buildings, but the bid for that was well beyond budget. At the time, the classrooms were to be ready for this school year. The modular units are viewed by the school district as a quick fix. ##
