Elkhart, Ind.-based manufactured housing component supplier Lippert Components Inc., will receive a $200,000 Michigan Business Development Program grant for a $1.7 million investment creating 102 jobs in an expansion of recently acquired Innovative Design Solutions, Inc (IDS).
The Michigan Economic Development Corporation announced approval for the project in Sterling Heights, MI by the Michigan Strategic Fund, according to rvbusiness. Sterling Heights, which is contributing free use of public utilities for the project, bested a competing site in Indiana.
Lippert acquired Duncan Systems, Inc. also of Elkhart, as MHProNews posted Aug. 18, 2014, for $18 million. Duncan manufactures aftermarket windows and awnings for RVs. Lippert is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Drew Industries, Inc. (DW). ##
