American Banking and Market News says ATCO Structures and Logistics has received a contract to provide modular housing, dining and recreational facilities for a 1,500 person workforce for Rio Tinto Alcan, Inc.’s smelter modernization project in Kitimat, BC. The modular units, designed to withstand extreme cold and snow, will be built at ATCO’s Calgary plant and transported to the Kitimat facility. ATCO has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Haisla Nation to make sure this Indian Reserve community benefits from the project. ATCO has operations on five continents, including North and South America and Australia.
