Allison M. Johnson of Baxter, Kentucky has been named a recipient of the Kentucky Manufactured Housing Institute (KMHI) 2015 Scholarship Award, according to harlandaily. She received one of three $1,000 scholarships awarded to a graduating high school senior who lives in a manufactured home.
A senior at Harlan County High School, Allison maintained a 3.743 grade point average (GPA) for four years, worked part-time and participated in extracurricular and community activities. She plans to attend Asbury University and major in elementary special education.
Having awarded multiple $1,000 scholarships since 1997, MHProNews has learned the KMHI Scholarship can be applied towards tuition at any university, college, or technical school. ##
