Fridley Patch reports Resident Owned Communities (ROC) USA partnered with the Minnesota Housing Finance Agency (MHFA) and Northcountry Cooperative Foundation (NCF) to help Park Plaza Cooperative become the fifth cooperative manufactured home community in the state. Located just north of Minneapolis in Fridley, the community’s previous owner said he is pleased to be helping a group of people realize the dream of owning their own community. As he near retirement, this marks the second one he has sold as a cooperative. NCF, a non-profit that supports manufactured home cooperatives, has agreed to help Park Plaza with technical assistance for the next 30 years. NCF is pursuing other possible co-ops in the state, and intends to expand into Wisconsin and Iowa.
