Michigan’s Gov. Rick Snyder has appointed Bryan Davis of Redford, MI to the state’s Manufactured Housing Commission, according to realestaterama. The commission establishes policies that govern all aspects of manufactured housing (MH), including year-round and seasonal communities.
Davis, a business agent for the Michigan Regional Council of Carpenters, represents organized labor, having served as a journeyman for Midwest Installations, Inc. He replaces Thomas Lutz on the commission.
Gov. Snyder said, “Bryan’s experience in the industry makes him an asset to this commission and I appreciate his willingness to serve.” His appointment, pending approval by the senate, is for three years, and is scheduled to expire May 9, 2018. There are nine members on the commission.
MHProNews has leaned independently that at the March 25, 2015 quarterly meeting one of the items on the agenda was to determine how many of the 1,122 licensed communities were at risk of closing. That information is supposed to be available at the June 17, 2015 quarterly meeting. ##
