Zacks reports that Encore Wire Corporation (NYSE: WIRE) saw revenue increase in the fourth quarter of 2010 to $265 million from $177 million for the same 2009 period. Encore makes a variety of copper electrical wire for residential and commercial building, including manufactured housing. Although copper increased 31 percent for the year, Encore posted a $4.5 million profit, a definite change from the $1.9 million loss the previous year. Encore managed to amass $100 million in cash, they have no long-term debt and their revolving credit has been paid off. Earnings per share rose to +.19 cents from a loss of eight cents per share a year ago.
