Chilean Felipe Assadi Arquitectos has designed an 80 square meters (860 square foot) prototype modular home constructed of locally-sourced pine with floor-to-ceiling glass windows, requiring just 45 days to assemble. Offering a sustainable design as a less expensive alternative to a more permanent dwelling, the home is made so additional modules can be readily adapted.
Small enough to be quickly and easily transported, the proposed home has three bedrooms and two baths, and is constructed of four modules of equal sizes. The home shown has been assembled along the Chilean coastline near the city of Valparaiso. ##
