According to RV Business, RVPro magazine has responded to the cash-strapped Elkhart, Indiana-based RV/MH Hall of Fame Museum & Library, and will donate 25 percent of its June advertising revenues to the museum. Publisher Dana Nelsen said, “We want to help the museum, plain and simple, because it really is one of industry’s greatest treasures. The magazine doesn’t really get anything from this gesture.” Said Tom McNulty, executive vice-president of the museum, “We are very happy that the industry is coming to the rescue of what we believe to be an invaluable resource to the entire industry, not only as the home of the largest vintage unit collection, but also the largest archival literature collection of historic books and documents and a growing resource for industry functions.” Without financial assistance, the museum could remain open only for approximately three more months. Meanwhile, the RV/MH Heritage Foundation, which oversees the institution’s activities, has announced the 2011 class of inductees into the Hall of Fame. Included is George Allen, a MH community management consultant from GFA Management in Greenwood.
