In the news from CNNMoney: China produces half of the world’s steel. While China’s growth slows to 6.9 percent, its surplus of steel is flooding the world’s markets at reduced prices, putting thousands of steel workers in other countries out of work. While a strong dollar has made overseas travel less expensive, a growing middle class in Latin America has increased air travel between the two regions.
