A 40-year veteran of the manufactured home industry, serving most recently before his retirement as general manager of Friendship Homes of Montevideo, Minnesota, Dick Lance passed away at age 82 in Fergus Falls, MN Oct. 20.
An inductee into the Hall of Fame of the Manufactured and Modular Home Association (MMHA) of Minnesota, Dick was on the organization’s board of directors for many years, heading up numerous committees during his service. An advocate of exacting construction and installation standards for MH, he developed a promotional video that has been viewed outside (to schools and legislative bodies) and distributed widely inside the industry, including at the 1996 National Manufactured Home Congress in Las Vegas.
Dick began his career with Detroiter Homes in 1962, now Homark Homes, and after working for several MH builders, became GM for Friendship in 1982, according to MMHA.
MHProNews sends its deepest condolences to the Lance family. ##
