Following a story MHProNews last posted Aug. 21, 2015 regarding Irish modular homes being sold to Cross River State in southeastern Nigeria by Affordable Building Concepts International, ABCI is now being considered for building 10,000 modular units in nearby Anambra state, Nigeria, as social housing, according to irishtimes.
Chief Willie Obiano, state governor, signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Tony Duncan of ABCI. Obiano, elected last year, is a former banker who has vowed to tackle social problems
Governor Ben Ayade of Cross River State had led a trade delegation to Ireland and two weeks later announced a deal for 5,000 modular homes to be built in Calabar, the state capital. Representatives of ABCI were in Calabar for the announcement. There has been talk of ABCI establishing a factory in Nigeria to build modular homes. ##
