Data compiled on behalf of the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) reveals manufactured home production increases moved into its fifth straight year, according to what the Manufactured Housing Association for Regulatory Reform (MHARR) tells MHProNews.
Production of HUD Code homes rose 5.2 percent over production for October, 2014, 6,846 homes over 6,505. Cumulative numbers for the year of 58,907 is 7.7 percent above the 54,672 homes for 2014, through October.
Totals for the individual states since the rebound in Aug., 2011 indicate Texas is far and away the leader with 51,792 HUD Code homes, followed by Louisiana with 18,410 homes, Florida with 14,518 homes, North Carolina with 10,739 homes and Alabama with 10,537 units. Rounding out the bottom five are Mississippi, 9,900; California, 9324; Kentucky, 9,270; Tennessee, 7,744, and Oklahoma, with 7,326.
Since last month, California moved in to seventh place, bumping Kentucky to eight. ##
