City Manager Lee Staab said 11 owners of homes registered complaints but only five had actual damages, which included cracked ceiling and skirting, burst water pipes, improperly connected air conditioning, bowed siding, leaky doors and broken trim. CDM Smith coordinated the move of the homes and has already approved some damage requests.
Kent French, association member in charge of governmental affairs for the North Dakota Manufactured Housing Association (NDMHA), has asked Rep. Kevin Cramer to look into possible mismanagement of resources in improperly siting the MH that were moved. The homes were placed on blocks, but insurers and lenders do not allow that type of placement. ##
