With 19 years in the industry, Jay Hamilton has become the new executive director of the Georgia Manufactured Housing Association.  In a conversation with MHMSM, he indicated he has held numerous sales positions, first with Champion Homes, and more recently with Fleetwood Homes as Regional Sales Manager until they sold out in 2009.  He sees the number one issue in the manufactured housing industry being the availability of financing, and secondly, dealing with planning and zoning.  Hamilton says the future is bright for the industry because not only will the Baby Boomers be in need of affordable housing n their retirement years, but the generation following will swell the ranks of those looking for low-cost housing as well.
