Following up on an article we published here May 18, Benzinga reports ATCO Structures and Logistics (ATCO) has been awarded a second contract for building a modular workforce community on Curtis Island, Queensland, in Australia. The Gladstone Liquefied Natural Gas (GLNG) project will have 336 modular housing units, including recreational facilities, and 400 modular units for the office complex. The construction village is xpected to remain for 44 months. The units will be constructed at ATCO’s Brisbane and Townsville facilities and transported to the Curtis Island site for assembly. Earlier this month, ATCO began building the Queensland Curtis Liquefied Natural Gas (QCLNG) project, which is also to accommodate a 1,700 workforce.
