Reverse Mortgage Daily says the Federal Housing Administration (FHA) is getting its second consecutive acting commissioner since April. President Obama has named Carol Galante to replace Robert Ryan as head of the agency, effective immediately. Galante has a Master of City Planning degree from the University of California Berkeley, and previously was deputy assistant secretary for multifamily housing at HUD. Her prior position was as President of BRIDGE Housing Corporation, developing affordable senior rental units and ownership properties. Ryan will become a senior adviser to Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Secretary Shaun Donovan, handling housing finance issues such as mortgage servicing standards and compensation.
