Some 350 leaders from the RV and Manufactured Housing industries gathered at the RV/MH Hall of Fame in Elkhart to dine on surf and turf while honoring the class of 2011 inductees. Hodge Patel from U.S. Congressman Joe Donnelly office said: “Each year about 45 million vehicles travel the Indiana Toll Road. We need to work to capture these travelers so that they too can experience the RV/MH museum and hall of fame…The wow-factor is inside this building and we all need to re-double our efforts, just as Go RVing and many others have done financially and through other commitments.” The Spirit award went to retiring board member Jerry Pickrell, in recognition of 20 years of service. Inductees included: George Allen, GFA Management, Greenwood, IN. Robert Azevedo, Alpine RV, San Francisco, CA. MH Retailer Leonard O. Brown, West Valley View, Inc. Allegany, NY. Both Harold ‘Hal’ Gerring, (deceased),Gerring Industries, Shipshewana, IN. Larry Huttle, Airstream, Jackson Center, OH. James Knott, J & B Homes, Carlsbad, NM. John Martin, TCA and MHI, Locust Grove , VA. Mike Schneider, Affinity Group, Ventura, CA. MHARR co-Founder James F. Shea, Jr, Fairmont Homes, Nappanee, IN was also among the inductees.
