YES! Communities, is one of the nation’s largest owners and operators of manufactured home communities, stated a press release to the Daily Business News.
The release stated Yes! acquired a portfolio of nine manufactured home communities comprising over 2,100 residential home sites, all in the state of Michigan. With this latest deal, YES! portfolio now includes 188 communities across 17 states, containing over 47,000 home sites. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Not in the release, but various sources have confirmed for MHProNews that the deal was made with Meritus Communities.
As background, readers are reminded that Yes! began it’s assent a decade ago, when Clayton Homes, stepped away from land-lease communities. Clayton had been in the land-lease business for about 25 years, said Builder.
Still more background can be found in the exclusive interview, A Cup of Coffee with Gary P. McDaniel with Yes!, and is linked here.
Steve Schaub, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of YES!, said, “We are very pleased to complete this strategic acquisition, which not only adds nine communities to our growing portfolio, but also significantly increases our footprint in Michigan, one of the nation’s best markets for manufactured home communities.”
Schaub added, “YES! Communities is committed to growing our business through both portfolio and single property acquisitions that meet our all-age, family oriented community model.” ## (News, analysis, and commentary.)
