On Tuesday, June 15, MHI held one of its regularly scheduled conference calls with MHI member state association executive directors. Included in the call, were discussions on the SAFE Act and the finance reform legislation currently moving through Congress that would create a Consumer Financial Protection Agency. Additional topics covered were Energy Efficiency Tax Credit (pre-1976 home) and Energy Star Tax Credit legislation, formaldehyde legislation, USDA funding status and updates on pending items before the Manufactured Housing Consensus Committee (MHCC) as well as other topics. MHI holds calls on a regular basis with its state association members to seek their input on industry initiatives and to provide updates on issues impacting the industry.
