Due to recent difficulties in the National Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) resource center gateway, the May 15 deadline for filing first quarter mortgage call reports (MCR) has been extended to June 16. According to an “FAQ” recently posted on the NMLS website, the NMLS “will not begin applying license deficiencies related to the Q1 MCR until June 16.” MCRs are required of state-licensed entities or entities employing state-licensed mortgage loan originators.
