“Democrats.” “The Media.” “But I repeat myself.” “The Democratic Party Isn’t.” “Friendly Fire Isn’t.” Chris Plante has shared each of those pithy remarks repeatedly, along with variations on this assertion: ‘The greatest power the media has is the power to ignore.’ Plante is a former award-winning 17-year CNN veteran reporter who covered the Pentagon among his domestic and overseas assignments. Fast forward to 2024, and Plante is a nationally syndicated and award-winning satirical pundit of the Chris Plante Show on the flagship WMAL.com radio and live stream from Washington, D.C. (9 AM-Noon ET M-F). As did so many others, Plante spoke last week about the death of Orenthal James (O.J.) Simpson, the trial of the century, and ‘getting away with the murder of his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman.’ As NY1 Reported, “Simpson died Wednesday without having paid the lion’s share of the $33.5 million judgment a California civil jury awarded to the families of his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ron Goldman.”
According to left-leaning Wikipedia: “Orenthal James Simpson was an American football player, actor, and convicted felon. He played in the National Football League for 11 seasons, primarily with the Buffalo Bills, and is regarded as one of the greatest running backs of all time.”

While disagreeing with the trial verdict, Plante observed that he thought the not guilty verdict had a silver lining of sparing the country riots and more deaths.
Among Plante’s talking points this past week was his recommendation to view the crowd-funded documentary video entitled “The Fall of Minneapolis.” The documentary tells the story of George Floyd’s death using a mix of police body cam video, interviews, and news footage. The police body cam video was not made public until well after the riots that gripped Minneapolis and numerous other American cities occurred, causing billions of dollars in damage.
“The Fall of Minneapolis” has been viewed millions of times, has numerous five-star ratings on YouTube, and is posted below along with other videos that have not (yet) been censored by Alphabet subsidiary and left-leaning Google’s sister brand YouTube.

Mainstream news (NBC) report on the above showed the following.
Remarks by leftist Noam Chomsky arguably run the gamut of insightful to agenda driven. That noted, Chomsky has said the following worth pondering and exploring in part through the lens of the reports linked herein, including our MHProNews recap of the headlines for the week in review.
- “Language is a weapon of politicians, but language is a weapon in much of human affairs.” – Noam Chomsky (Brainy Quotes).
- “In the US, there is basically one party – the business party. It has two factions, called Democrats and Republicans, which are somewhat different but carry out variations on the same policies. By and large, I am opposed to those policies. As is most of the population.” – Noam Chomsky (Brainy Quotes).
Concerns about the 2020 campaign outcome are well known to tens of millions. But in the blur of media overload and apparently selective reporting by outlets that span the left-right media divide, it is often forgotten that the Barack Obama-Joe Biden campaign era also had credible evidence of violations of various U.S. election laws, including the drama that caused the ACORN nonprofit to cease to be.
Meaning, the Biden-Harris campaign concerns are hardly new. They were apparently amplified. “We have put together I think the most extensive and inclusive voter fraud organization in the history of American politics …” Biden defenders say it was taken out of context. Seriously?
Election interference in the 2020 election is perhaps more evident now than before. The suppression of the Hunter Biden laptop is but one example. The roughly $400 million in so-called Zuckerbucks is another example. Dr. Robert Epstein, a Democrat, and his team of researchers have carefully documented the impact that big tech has on voters by giving biased search results and go vote prompts. There are the concerns raised by the documentary 2000 Mules. The list goes on.
These often-alternative media supported information efforts appear to be having some effect. Left-leaning PolitiFact reported the following.
- A January [1024] Umass Amherst Poll found that 30% of respondents believed Biden’s win was illegitimate.
- A Washington Post-University of Maryland poll from December found that 36% of respondents viewed Biden’s win as illegitimate.
- An August poll by The Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research found that about 70% of respondents believed Biden was legitimately elected. Among Republicans, the number was 57%.
- A June Monmouth University poll found that 30% of respondents believe Biden won the 2020 election because of voter fraud. Among Republicans, the number was 68% — still lower than Trump claimed. That result “has been a nearly constant percentage in Monmouth’s polling since the November 2020 election,” Monmouth noted in its report.
- An early 2022 Axios-SurveyMonkey poll found that 55% respondents believed Biden won legitimately. SurveyMonkey and the AP-NORC polls have lower credibility ratings than Monmouth and The Washington Post with FiveThirtyEight.com, which analyzes polling methods.
PolitiFact added this.
Thirty-one percent of the poll’s respondents said they believed the 2020 presidential election was stolen from Trump — but the number was much higher for respondents who consumed conservative media. Among Republicans who claimed they trust Fox News more than any other outlet, 82% said they believed the election was stolen.”
The issue remains a hot one with conservatives, because Trump and House Speaker Mike Johnson (LA-R) made a joint announcement of a new election integrity bill this week.
In response to an election integrity question from MHProNews, left-leaning Bing’s artificial intelligence powered Copilot said the following on 4.13.2024.
- Arizona: Enacted new election integrity laws1.

- Florida: Passed laws to address election security and voting procedures1.
- Georgia: Introduced restrictions on mail voting and drop boxes2.

- Montana: Enacted new laws related to voting1.
- Tennessee: Passed election integrity measures1.
- Utah: Implemented changes to enhance election security1.
- Wyoming: Enacted election integrity laws1…”
According to the new Republican Party Chairman, part of their plan for the 2024 election is to have record numbers of volunteers at every polling place plus more attorneys that are prepared for election challenges.
The right-leaning Turning Point USA said they have identified over 4 million people who sat out prior elections but are in the Trump orbit. They are prepared to turn those previously “disengaged” voters out. According to Bongino, who has run several Congressional campaigns that included blue districts, GOP consultants say that 1 to 1.5 percent more votes are needed to overcome the margin of election cheating. The reality of voter fraud has been well established by the Heritage Foundation, which maintains a database of documented election fraud cases.
Never Let a Crisis Go to Waste
There is a flip side of the often-quoted remark by former Obama Chief of Staff to later Mayor of Chicago and Democratic operative Rahm Emanuel. “You never want a serious crisis to go to waste. And what I mean by that is an opportunity to do things that you think you could not do before.” (GoodReads).
The arguably often overlooked, misunderstood, or ignored flip side of that quote could be expressed like this. The immoral can fuel or create a crisis in order to posture solving a crisis that may later be used by the immoral in a subsequent crisis. Heads they win, tails you lose. To illustrate that principle in the affordable housing crisis, consider this. If the affordable housing crisis is solved, then it can no longer be a campaign issue that requires governmental intervention. For the immoral, in their view it is better to use the crisis to posture a solution that sounds good but actually solves nothing. That way, the next election cycle, the same or some revised ‘solution’ can be proposed.
On issues of race, Democrats have been accused of stoking racial division for years, using taxpayer money to ‘buy’ votes, which placate but solve no issues. The rate of black homeownership is sharply lower than it is for whites. Given that Democrats have been in control of much of the federal government for 12 of the last 16 years, why isn’t the problem solved? Given that Democrats control numbers of states and cities for decades, why haven’t Democrats solve the problem of affordable housing for the historically highly loyal black voters?
To be clear, the GOP has work to do too.
Plante has often chided Republicans for not being good at messaging. WMAL also features former NYPD and Secret Service officer turned nationally syndicated talk radio pundit, podcaster, author and investor Dan Bongino. Paraphrasing Bongino, Republicans are often not the solution to your problems, but Democrats are routinely involved in causing your problems.
Bongino endorsed deposed 45th President Donald J. Trump early on. Bongino says he disagrees with Trump’s recently announced “transactional” stance on abortion. But Bongino often credits Trump for appointing three U.S. Supreme Court Justices that overturned Roe v Wade. Bongino says the election will come down to a binary choice. Trump vs. Biden or a possible last minute Biden replacement by Democratic insiders.
The campaigns of Cornel West and Robert F. Kennedy Jr. According to left-leaning Axios: “Long-shot presidential candidate Cornel West said Wednesday that he is selecting Melina Abdullah, a professor and one of the co-founders of Black Lives Matter, as his running mate for his independent bid.”
Per left-leaning CNN: “RFK Jr. names Silicon Valley attorney Nicole Shanahan as running mate. Independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. named attorney and tech entrepreneur Nicole Shanahan as his running mate Tuesday at a rally in Oakland, California.” Numbers of pundits and the Real Clear Politics (RCP) average of polls make the point that when Kennedy and West are considered by prospective voters in surveys, it harms Joe Biden and benefits Donald Trump. So, Bongino has a point when he says the election will likely come down to Biden vs. Trump.
Note these mainstream videos reflect the views of those speaking, not those of MHProNews. For instance, RFK Jr. has bluntly said that Biden is the bigger threat to America. Before he broke with Democrats he called out the need to break up the corrupt merger of corporate and state power.
Kennedy, a lifelong Democrat, son of the assassinated Senator Robert “Bobby” Kennedy (NY-D), and nephew of assassinated Democratic President John F. “Jack” Kennedy, is clearly a progressive or leftist. That noted, Kennedy has repeatedly lashed out at the Democratic Party for its interference in the 2024 nomination campaign process.
Bongino says he loves details as do millions who listen to talk radio shows like his. But he argues that to win in politics you have to focus on “soundbites and snapshots.” Millions can’t, won’t or don’t take the time to dig into details, says Bongino. Be that as it may, many of our reports go into significant depth and detail. Why?
Having moved from USA Today style 1-3 paragraph length reports a decade or so ago, later to several hundred-word length news items, and in recent years to often several thousand word reports packed with facts, illustrations, links, and downloads here is what we’ve discovered through trial and error. Some readers, apparently our readers, want to know more details.
- “Superficiality is the curse of the modern world.” – Matthew Kelly, author, speaker, and business coach.
It should also be noted that even though Bongino and others talk about hyper-brief social media, memes, or other “snapshots and soundbites,” Bongino himself has 3 hours of talk radio daily plus another hour of podcasting. That’s hardly brief.
Meaning, a quick and pithy point is useful. But to put meat on the bones for millions, details are necessary.
Not unlike our society, the affordable housing crisis is both complex and simple. Those complexities are explored and exposed in reports with analysis linked below.
The simplicity with respect to our profession is this.
- Congress studied manufactured housing off and on reportedly for a dozen years (see the headline report in MHLivingNews on Ed Hussey’s Congressional testimony on behalf of the Manufactured Housing Association for Regulatory Reform (MHARR) linked below).
- Without millions of more manufactured homes, the affordable housing crisis can’t be solved with any known and widely proven construction technology.
- So, Congress gave HUD the authority to override the often-discriminatory zoning barriers created by local officials with what is known as federal “enhanced preemption” authority.
But just as the clearly misled Biden-Harris era of Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is failing to properly enforce and secure the U.S. border with Mexico, so too HUD is and has been failing to properly enforce the widely bipartisan solution for the affordable housing crisis Congress already enacted years ago. Postscript
MHProNews has repeatedly made the evidence-based point that Clayton Homes parent company Berkshire Hathaway owned a media group. The Berkshire board of directors has for years had big media personalities on it. Does anyone doubt that Buffett could have created a purely informational campaign years ago to educate the public on affordable manufactured housing? Similarly, couldn’t Buffett have (or still) used his money and media clout to pressure the White House, HUD, the FHFA, DOE and so on? But as the troubling evidence-based saga of the DOE energy rule story illustrates, Buffett-bucks did the opposite.
- Manufactured housing is underperforming, despite good laws that support it, because the powers that be apparently want it that way.
- American society is divided because the powers that be want it to be divided. See The Fall of Minneapolis and other linked items.
- Blacks are not being given proper access to more affordable (made possible through the MHIA and “enhanced preemption“) apparently because if they had more household wealth, they would not need government handouts and thus the Democratic Party would lose voters.
- The southern border with Mexico is ‘open’ because the powers that be want it that way.
Be it foreign or domestic affairs, on issue after issue, there is what BlackRock’s Larry Fink aptly called a polycrisis. Biden was pitched to America as the adult who was going to bring competence to government. But the opposite has repeatedly occurred instead. Why is that so? Because the status quo benefits the insiders and harms their political opponents. Also, by causing more to feel financial pressures, more people become dependent on government, which has long been an apparent de facto part of the Democratic Party’s ruling agenda.
Some say there is an awakening underway. Polling suggests that key Biden-Democrat constituencies are slipping away from him in perhaps record numbers. Time will tell if it is in sufficient numbers to cause change in the 2024 election. Certainly, the Real Clear Politics (RCP) average of polls indicates that Trump leads Biden in 6 of the 7 battleground states that are likely to settle the 2024 election.
While cheating is a factor, the more important factor may well be the motivation of the electorate to vote for change away from the problematic policies of the past 3+ years and the 8 years before Trump came into office. Left-leaning CNN, hardly Trump fans, had to admit (see this chart below) that under Trump real earning power rose sharply for Americans of all backgrounds.
By contrast, under Biden, real income isn’t keeping up with shockingly higher costs of living that are often described as inflation. Per Biden-friendly (left-leaning) FactCheck.org.
Citing the research and documentary by Trevor Loudon, MHProNews informed readers years ago (July 8, 2020) that Biden was further left than the public was being told by much of the media.
Plante rhetorically asks his listeners, Remember Normal?
The irony is that once the facts and issues are understood, it is often sources on the left that help reveal just how corrupted the system has been in favor of the Democrats and “Corporate Democrats.”
As political independents, not registered with either major party for over a decade, it is our fact-based and editorial view that Bongino and Plante both have keen points. Are there points they could be stronger on? Perhaps they could push a better understanding of how paltering is deployed. Or how nefariously posturing can be implemented. Bill Clinton was one of the Democrats slammed by leftist Michael Weinstein, along with Obama-Biden. Clinton famously said the era of big government is over.
This next gem of a quote is another apparent example of paltering and posturing.
The irony is that Democrats, who have talked for years about using antitrust laws to break up the claimed power behind Republicans have not robustly used that antitrust power to break up the mammoth companies when they held power in Obama-Biden or Biden-Harris. Several of the antitrust cases that are gaining attention now were launched while Trump was in office.
Plante and Bongino could embrace a snapshot and soundbites emphasis of the importance of these two quotes.
Even some passionate Trump supporters say that Trump was blindsided by betrayal inside his administration during Covid19. Several have said that he had too many disloyal people in his own administration. But that is why Project 2025 will be so important.
To be clear, if Trump gets a second term, even with the help of thousands of people that are being prepared for a transition in Project 2025, it will take more than 4 years to fix what’s gone wrong in America. But just as Trump 1.0 gave a good start and indicated his sincerity in keeping campaign promises, there are reasons to think that Trump 2.0 could be even better.
Trump has an advantage at being one of the better messengers in his party. He knows how to handle antagonistic media and is not afraid to take them on and push back.
But Team Biden and the Democrats have piled on dozens of charges and other legal hurdles in a third-world or Soviet-like efforts to keep some genuine political threat at bay. Shockingly, as the report linked here indicated, a surprising number of Democrats polled freely admit they are okay with cheating if it means that their candidate would win.
In a perfect world, there may be two different major candidates. But it is what it is. Those who support the left have three choices. Biden-Harris, Cornel West and Melina Abdullah, or Kennedy (RFK Jr.) and Nicole Shanahan. Those on the center right essentially have one choice, Trump. No matter what the folks at Politico say, it is obvious that Kennedy-Shanahan is not likely to attract a significant number of center-right voters. That said, among those three sets of candidates on the left, Kennedy-Shanahan is arguably the best of the three.
That noted, the country has drifted left under Obama-Biden and Biden-Harris. It didn’t help their own base in ways that were promised. If sufficient numbers of those voters either come out for Trump or stay home in frustration and don’t vote in frustration, then there may be some hope that the country can be put back on a better course away from the corporate-media-governmental nexus that has eroded individual rights and opportunities. The Biden-Harris plans have not helped manufactured housing, as 15 months of downturns reflected.
In the fact-based and pragmatic view of MHProNews, Trump appears to be the clearly best candidate running for the industry and for America. Let’s see what happens next as the battle against American injustices continues. Those word Trump uttered in those remarks quoted below have proven to be amazingly accurate. They are a reminder that devious tactics are deployed from a variety of sources that are meant to keep Americans divided. That is just one of the possible takeaways from insightful documentary, The Fall of Minneapolis.
