Sydney, Australia-based architect Stephen Sainsbury has designed Ecoshelta, a series of modular homes constructed of wood frames and corrugated metal siding and roofs that can be made in a variety of styles with minimal environmental impact. The interiors are lined with plywood from certified-sustainable plantations, as curbed.detroit informs MHProNews.
The aluminum alloy used in the unit is comprised of 15 percent recyclable material that has the effect of being five times as strong as steel. The modules can be stacked or
sited side-by-side to increase the size of the home, and the roofs made gabled or barrrel-vaulted. Multiple configurations of the units are possible. ##
