There can be a valuable roll for entry level product, and we respect those who sell them.

But the answer to the question above may surprise many in manufactured housing.

Because it’s the mid-to-upper end market that has by far the most potential, and often attracts the better qualified credit or cash customers!

Don’t believe it? Surprising for many in our industry, but it’s true. Look at the facts from the site-built housing world. Site built housing outsells MH almost 100-to-1.  Yet manufactured housing is less expensive.  Do you see the point?

That means there is a lot of upside potential when you convert those site-built housing shoppers to residential-style HUD Code manufactured homes or modular housing.

A number of manufactured home retailing operations sell double the number of mid-level to upscale homes as those entry-level, “shade and shelter” VOG products.

The margins are often better on those nicer homes too.
