According to what chippewa tells MHProNews, Wisconsin State Senator Terry Moulton (Chippewa Falls-R), representing the 23rd District, authored a bill signed by Gov Scott Walker that will ease transport on Wisconsin roads for delivery of manufactured and modular homes.
Canada has been an active buyer of U. S. factory-built homes recently, but Canadian requirements have restricted travel on Wisconsin roads of these homes without a special permit.
Sen. Moulton wrote, “Senate Bill 372 will adjust the single trip permit requirements for these loads to ensure that manufacturers of factory-built homes will be able to transport modular and mobile homes both within our state and abroad.”
Sen. Moulton adds that the majority of the bills passed this session received bipartisan support. ##
