The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and the Council of Large Public Housing Authorities (CLPHA) are sponsoring a conference on developing green solutions for public housing.  Slated for July 13-14 in Boston, Massachusetts,  participants will include public housing authorities, green building movement members, and private energy sector advocates.  Sandra B. Henriquez, HUD’s Assistant Secretary for the Office of Public and Indian Housing, says, “By incorporating energy efficient measures into public housing, we have the opportunity to make a real impact on our environment and in the lives of thousands of families.”
