One of the largest manufacturers of commercial modular buildings in North America, WesternOne Equity Income Fund’s Britco division acquired a new facility in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada and one in Waco, Texas in recent months. Headquartered in Langley, British Columbia, the company is currently involved in producing 280,000 square feet of dormitory rooms for a large energy company in Alberta, British Columbia. MarketWatch tells MHProNews.com the 880 rooms contained in the 10 two-story buildings at $50 million is the largest project in the 35-year history of the company. With four plants, including the one in Waco, Britco’s modular customer base includes commercial, residential, and governmental as well as mining and energy sectors. The company created 177 jobs in 2011.
