Investors pushed the Dow Jones higher at the beginning of the day after the good jobs report from the federal government, but dropped as the anticipation and uncertainty of next week’s election came into view. CNNMoney reports the Dow Jones Industrial Average lost -.01 percent of the gain from yesterday, losing -1.05 percent today, -139.46 points, to close at 13,093.16. The Nasdaq fell -1.26 percent, -37.93 points to close at 2,982.13, while the S&P moved down -0.94 percent, -13.39 points to close at 1,414.20. The Yahoo! Finance Manufactured Housing Composite dropped -2.79 percent to close at 1170.2. Some housing stocks closed down hard, a few moved up slightly, or closed even. Nobility Homes gained the most of tracked stocks, advancing +1.85%, +0.10, to end the week at 5.50. Cavco Industries, Inc. fell the most of tracked stocks, -7.87%, -3.94, to end at 46.15. Affiliated Managers Group 127.81 -3.57 (-2.72%). Clayton Homes, Vanderbilt Mortgage and Finance, as well as MH home-building, lending and other housing suppliers parent company Berkshire Hathaway 130,550 -850.00 (-0.65%).
