A quick background related to the headlines will be useful as a reminder to longtime readers here as well as to newcomers. During the summer of 2009 the Manufactured Home Merchandiser Magazine announced it was shutting down after decades of publishing. This writer for MHProNews was a periodic contributor to the Merchandiser and I was frankly disappointed at their closing for their sake and mine too. A conversation with my wife, followed by conversations with two other gents I knew, resulted in the plan to launch what today is MHProNews (a.k.a.: Manufactured Home Pro News) but what was originally MHMarketingSalesManagement.com, a URL (i.e.: web address) that is still valid. The initial premise was that the industry needed a good trade media, one based on the notion that the industry should be growing at a robust pace rather than shrinking. By mid-October 2009, MHMarketingSalesManagement.com launched. Based on Manufactured Housing Institute (MHI) data in their own advertising kit, we surpassed their traffic in about 6 months and have never looked back. Our traffic today appears to dwarf MHI plus that of three of their blogging/publishers ‘news’ sites combined. While we have taken our share of hits, it went to prove the premise that people in our industry want facts, pragmatic insights, and whenever possible provide proven solutions. As Chris Olvera, the last editor of the Merchandiser thoughtfully said on the record: “Tony Kovach wrote freelance articles for me when I was with the Manufactured Home Merchandiser, and he always met deadlines and knew our audience. He is an excellent writer and his articles required very little work. He has a writing style that made you comfortable and at ease; like you could trust him and you can.”

Part I
1) I wonder if Chris thought that we would make it 15 years? At different times in the last several years, some manufactured home industry personalities candidly said on the record that they never thought what today is called MHProNews or Manufactured Home Pro News would last.
2) Some are doubtlessly vexed that MHProNews and MHLivingNews has made it this far.
Well, we still think that it is possible that the best could be yet to come for our manufactured home industry and for MHProNews. Neither is a given, but either or both are possible. That’s sufficient to dig into the headline topics.
3) Not necessarily in the headline sequence, as a news-analysis we have completed the first month of being a contributor on the Patch. Stating the obvious, the Patch isn’t our site. So there are certain benefits as well as guidelines that must be met as with any third-party platform or provider. But we think there are several things to celebrate. More on that shortly.
4) It was long on my mind when we launched MHMarketingSalesManagement.com (today MHProNews) that the leaders of manufactured housing involved at MHI were missing the boat by not properly tapping into the millions of voters found in our industry’s homes.
Of the estimated 22 million living in manufactured housing and pre-HUD Code mobile homes if they could be mobilized to support this candidate over that one then many an election could be decided by our industry’s customers. As evidence of that are the following.
5) Many understand that while the national popular vote is interesting, the U.S. Constitution has made the Electoral College outcome is what actually determines who becomes the next president and vice president of the United States of America (USA). In the video that follows, the path to victory for both major party candidates are explored.
6) Election Time (ET) used the latest left-leaning New York Times/Siena Poll. This may help explain why Kamala Harris (D) has been calling for a new debate against the deposed 45th President Donald J. Trump (R). While there are partisans on both sides that say their candidate is winning according to the polls, this analysis lays out the specific polls, their dates, and what it means based on the electoral college map. Recall that it requires 270 electoral college votes to win the White House. While the much-ballyhooed NYT/Siena Poll is used, so are others, as ET details. As a tip, this writer often personally increases the replay speed to 150 percent when viewing their videos. I get the speakers points and save time doing it. That noted, ET explains Harris’ and Trump’s paths to victory without apparent partisanship.
