Clayton welcomes 50 year old family-run business G&I Homes
MARYVILLE, TN.—Clayton Homes, one of America’s largest home builders, is excited to announce the addition 
family-run retailer has been a staple to the central New York community for over 50 years and will be joining the Clayton family of brands this February.
The manufactured and modular retailer was founded in 1965 by spouses Gerald and Irene Bushey (aka G&I). The couple built their business around the goal to provide affordable, quality homes to their community with a focus in building relationships. Their business model was a perfect match for that of Clayton Homes, whose own promise is opening doors to a better life, one home at a time.

The Bushey family will continue to manage all six locations in New York State, and G&I Homes will continue to operate as a family-run business. In addition to recruiting and hiring team members to the G&I Homes team, Clayton is excited to introduce their Energy Smart™ Home option to the G&I Homes home series. This option for homebuyers will upgrade their homes with extra thick insulation and other energy saving features.
