The manager of Clayton Home Sales in Lumberton, North Carolina, along with her husband and co-workers, won the title of Best Overall Chili at this year’s Rumba on Lumber’s Bud Light North of the Border Chili Cook-Off, held in Lumberton. Hunt, who also won a chili cook-off in South Carolina, but says she is not a cook, said this was her first time competing in Lumberton’s event. “We put duck it in, that’s our unique ingredient,” Hunt said of the Duck Commander concoction, aptly inspired by Clayton’s association with the TV reality show Duck Dynasty, according to robesonian.com. She and her crew began preparing the chili Friday night at 8 PM and worked for four hours developing the taste. She intends to take some along when she has dinner with cast members of the hit TV show in two weeks, as MHProNews.com has learned. The chili at the cook-off with the weirdest ingredient? The Lumberton Police Department’s entry included a dash of pepper spray. ##
